Welcome to PURE Equine Law

PURE Equine Law specialises in providing legal services to the equine industry. The practice supports businesses and individuals across Australia with disputes, contracts, debt recovery, compliance, employment law issues and more. Founder, Principal Lawyer and horse rider Emily Purvis provides clients with a unique blend of legal expertise and 25+ years of experience with horses. Emily is also passionate about empowering the equestrian community through legal education and preventing disputes by making contracts more accessible.

The firm was built with the equestrian client in mind from day one. After seeing a Facebook post on a community forum asking for legal advice, Emily began to research and ask her horse riding connections about the types of legal issues they had encountered in the past. In many cases, written agreements were poorly drafted or had not been used at all, resulting in unjust outcomes and expensive litigation.

An innovative, modern business model was developed to deliver premium equine legal services in an efficient, accessible way. We offer the convenience of remote capabilities, allowing us to connect with clients in remote or rural locations, or in-person consultations if preferred. Time based billing, fixed fee packages or retainer agreements accommodate specific needs and budgets. Our goal is to provide flexible options that cater to our clients’ preferences, ensuring the highest level of personalised service and fee transparency.
